About the Opportunity

Lock Search Group is a leading North American executive search and recruitment firm with over 40 years of experience placing top talent across specialized industries. Their Ontario Industrial Practice is expanding and is seeking a Construction Specialist to support recruitment efforts across the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.

This role is ideal for a construction professional or recruiter with strong industry knowledge who wants to transition into or grow within executive search and talent advisory.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for construction and industrial roles, including project managers, engineers, site supervisors, and executives

• Build and maintain relationships with construction firms, contractors, and industry leaders across Ontario

• Source, screen, and assess candidates for technical and leadership roles

• Develop talent pipelines and market intelligence within the construction sector

• Conduct detailed interviews and candidate evaluations

• Prepare client presentations, shortlists, and market mapping reports

• Partner with clients to understand hiring needs, project timelines, and workforce strategies

• Manage offer negotiations and onboarding support

• Represent Lock Search Group as a trusted recruitment advisor in the construction market

Qualifications

• Background in construction, engineering, project management, or industrial recruitment

• Strong understanding of Ontario’s construction and infrastructure market

• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative sales skills

• Ability to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously

• Professional, results-driven, and client-focused mindset

• Proficiency with ATS and CRM systems

Preferred Experience

• Experience in executive search, staffing, or talent acquisition

• Network within general contractors, developers, engineering firms, and subcontractors

• Knowledge of ICI (Industrial, Commercial, Institutional) and infrastructure projects

• Post-secondary education in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or HR
