About the Opportunity
A growing food service operation is seeking a skilled Culinary Supervisor / Lead Cook to support daily kitchen operations and ensure consistent execution of menu items while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and service.
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations, this role is responsible for overseeing food production, maintaining company standards, and supporting kitchen staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience.
Key Responsibilities

Execute and supervise daily menu item production according to recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines

Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with company quality, safety, and sanitation standards

Support inventory control, food ordering, and waste reduction

Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas

Train and coach kitchen staff on procedures, food safety, and best practices

Monitor equipment usage and report maintenance needs

Assist with menu development, specials, and seasonal offerings

Ensure compliance with health regulations and internal policies

Work closely with operations leadership to maintain service excellence
Qualifications

Previous experience in a professional kitchen (cook, lead cook, sous chef, or culinary supervisor)

Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards

Ability to follow standardized recipes and production systems

Leadership and team-building skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities

Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Preferred Experience

Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience

Experience in high-volume or multi-unit food service operations

First Aid and Food Handler Certification
