Duties
- Responsible
for maintaining cleanliness in the production area, including compacting
plastic film, disposing of cardboard, removing skids, sweeping, mopping,
and clearing general waste and debris;
- Use
a variety of hand tools, equipment, and machines;
- Handle
and transport materials and equipment using forklift;
- Complete
any special projects as required. May be assigned to other areas of
operation based on business or customer requirements;
- Observe
all legislated H&S regulations (including OHSA & WSIB) as well as
establish workplace safety procedures.
Requirements
- 1
year of experience operating forklifts or other material handling
equipment
- Capable
and comfortable utilizing hand tools;
- Mechanically
inclined;
- Self
Motivated and in a team environment;
- Able
to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability
to stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability
to lift heavy objects
- Able to multi-task projects and meet production deadlines.
