Qualifications
- Financial
Statements and Analytical Skills
- Experience
with Journal Entries and Finance
- Experience
in a supervisory role overseeing financial accounting
- Knowledge
of Fixed Assets management
- Strong
attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
- Excellent
organizational and time management skills
- Ability
to work well independently and in a team environment
- Bachelor's
degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA Preferred)
- Excellent
communication skills, both written and verbal
- Organized
and strong attention to detail
- Ability
to work independently and as a team, and take initiative
- Strong
proficiency with MS Excel, accounting systems, databases and word
processing
- Previous
history of bookkeeping
- Has
Experience working with external auditors
- Has
Experience working with banking partners
RESPONSIBILITY (not limited to):
- Managing
and supervising accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger and
accounting controls.
- Performing
month end and year end accounting processes to ensure the integrity of
financial results.
- Ensuring
compliance with accounting standards and government regulations relating
to taxation, audits, filings, licensing.
- Initiating
and implementing management controls in loss prevention and protection of
assets including cash, parts, vehicles, equipment, supplies, etc.
- Engaging
with senior management on financial analysis, annual forecasting and
planning activities.
- Proactively
identifying opportunities, recommending and formulating process and policy
improvements and implement change where required.
- Providing
support services in office administration, information technology,
insurance and asset management
- Performing
monthly balance sheet reconciliation and income statement analysis
- Establish
and implement policies and procedures
- Design
and manage investment strategies
- Assign,
co-ordinate and review projects and programs
- Advise
senior management on risks
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
