Your Opportunity
As a Maintenance Worker IV, you will perform a variety of highly skilled and complex maintenance and repair tasks that require considerable initiative, independent judgment, and technical expertise. This senior-level maintenance role involves diagnosing complex issues, determining appropriate work methods, and completing work with minimal supervision.
You will support the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of facilities and infrastructure while mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities

Perform advanced maintenance, repair, and installation work across multiple trades

Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and building system issues

Determine appropriate work methods, materials, and tools independently

Lead or assist with major repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance programs

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior maintenance staff

Inspect completed work to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with standards

Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations

Respond to emergency maintenance situations as required

Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal departments when necessary
Qualifications & Requirements

Journeyperson certification or equivalent combination of education and experience

Extensive experience in facilities or infrastructure maintenance

Strong knowledge across multiple skilled trades

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals

Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Physical ability to perform manual work, including lifting and working in confined spaces

Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in healthcare, government, or institutional facilities
-
Supervisory or lead-hand experience

Experience with preventative maintenance programs and CMMS systems

Additional trade certifications
