Accounts Payable Clerk

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process,
validate, and post vendor invoices through Microsoft Dynamics
- Match
invoices to purchase orders and supporting documentation, resolving
discrepancies as needed
- Maintain
accurate financial records, backups, and transaction support in the system
- Prepare
and process payments via EFT, wire transfer, and cheque
- Perform
account reconciliations, including vendor statements and intercompany
transactions
- Monitor
aged accounts payable balances to ensure timely settlement
- Verify
vendor details, including federal ID numbers, and set up new vendors in
the system
- Monitor
and apply available payment discounts
- Correspond
with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoice, payment, or
documentation issues
- Process
staff expense claims and verify documentation
- Maintain
confidentiality of sensitive financial data
- Support
month-end closing activities as required
Qualifications:
- 1–2
years of experience in Accounts Payable, including generating and
reconciling vendor payments
- Post-secondary
education in accounting/finance, or equivalent experience
- Intermediate
to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Experience
with Microsoft Dynamics ERP system is an asset
- Knowledge
of full-cycle accounting principles and multi-currency transactions
- Construction
or project-based accounting experience preferred
- Knowledge
of German is an asset
