Our client is looking for an ERP Director to lead their enterprise systems function within the IT department. This is a hands-on leadership role: setting team priorities, managing day-to-day workloads, shaping IT strategy, and making sure technology initiatives stay aligned with where the business is going.
The role manages a team of four — IT helpdesk, NetSuite administrators, and an AI developer — and covers ERP leadership, infrastructure support, and emerging AI initiatives. The company moves high volumes of consumer health products through major national retail chains, and the ERP platform touches everything from warehouse operations to accounting — so this person needs to be as comfortable on the warehouse floor talking process as they are in the finance office talking close.
Requirements:
- Proven leadership managing an IT/ERP team (this role leads 4: helpdesk, NetSuite administrators, and an AI developer): setting priorities, managing workloads, developing people
- Contributes to IT strategy — aligning systems, infrastructure, ERP roadmap, and AI initiatives with business goals
- Provides infrastructure support oversight: networks, systems, and end-user computing running reliably
- Deep understanding of warehouse processes — receiving, putaway, picking, shipping, cycle counts — and how they flow through an ERP system
- Strong grasp of distribution operations: order-to-cash (O2C) and procure-to-pay (P2P) from end to end
- Solid accounting literacy: how inventory, COGS, AP/AR, and month-end close post and reconcile inside the ERP
- Track record of mapping real-world processes and configuring ERP systems to fit them, not the other way around
- Able to work with in-house developers to automate manual processes and extend system capabilities
- Comfortable translating between warehouse staff, accountants, and executives — process language for each
- Background in distribution, wholesale, or 3PL environments strongly preferred
- NetSuite experience a strong asset, but not required — any major ERP platform background considered
