As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you will be a valued member of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary healthcare team. You will provide compassionate, person-centred care by assisting residents/clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and supporting their physical, emotional, and social well-being.


This role is ideal for individuals who are caring, dependable, and committed to improving quality of life for others in a healthcare or supportive living environment.





Key Responsibilities



  • Assist residents/clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Provide personal care and comfort measures in a respectful and dignified manner
  • Support safe transfers and positioning using appropriate equipment and techniques
  • Observe, report, and document changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition
  • Assist with meal setup, feeding, and hydration as required
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment
  • Follow individualized care plans and organizational policies
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
  • Support residents’ independence, choice, and dignity at all times
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and confidentiality standards






Qualifications & Requirements



  • Health Care Aide (HCA) Certificate from a recognized program
  • Registration or eligibility to register with the applicable provincial registry (if required)
  • Current CPR / First Aid certification
  • Knowledge of safe lifting, transferring, and infection prevention practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Compassionate, patient, and professional demeanor
  • Ability to perform the physical demands of the role
  • Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Screening (as required)
