Responsibilities
- Maintain
cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing
surfaces, and disposing of waste properly.
- Support
the kitchen team during busy service periods by providing assistance
wherever necessary.
- Restock
supplies as needed and report any shortages to the kitchen management.
- Clean
designated equipment, such as hoods, filters, steam tables, bus tables,
carts, ovens and grills, sinks, refrigerator/freezers, service areas,
walls, floors, kitchen cafeteria dump site/compactor area as assigned. Use
and dispose of kitchen substances (such as grease) and kitchen chemicals
properly.
- Sweep
and mop kitchen floor at the end of each meal period and after each spill.
- Monitor
chemicals and water temperature during shift. Clean and organize
associated work area and kitchen equipment according to procedures to
maximize efficiency.
Experience
- Previous
experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not
required; we welcome those eager to learn.
- Ability
to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining
attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and willingness to take direction from chefs and senior kitchen staff will contribute to your success in this role.
