Duties

  • Support general warehouse operations during peak times or staffing shortages.
  • Assist with special events, food drives, and community outreach as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to ensure smooth operations.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma (OSSD or equivalent) required.
  • Post-secondary education in logistics, business, community services, or a related field is considered an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, delivery driving, or warehouse operations preferred.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers or staff is an asset.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safely.
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Belleville and Quinte-area geography is an asset.
  • Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, scheduling tools).
  • Valid Ontario Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record (driver’s abstract required).
  • Valid Forklift Operator certification.
  • A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening acceptable to Gleaners Foodbank is required for this role.
