Duties
- Support
general warehouse operations during peak times or staffing shortages.
- Assist
with special events, food drives, and community outreach as needed.
- Perform
additional tasks as assigned to ensure smooth operations.
Required Qualifications
- High
school diploma (OSSD or equivalent) required.
- Post-secondary
education in logistics, business, community services, or a related field
is considered an asset.
- An
equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be
considered.
- Experience
in transportation, logistics, delivery driving, or warehouse operations
preferred.
- Experience
coordinating volunteers or staff is an asset.
- Ability
to lift and move items up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks safely.
- Strong
organizational, scheduling, and communication skills.
- Ability
to work independently, problem-solve, and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge
of Belleville and Quinte-area geography is an asset.
- Basic
computer skills (email, spreadsheets, scheduling tools).
- Valid
Ontario Class G driver’s licence with a clean driving record (driver’s
abstract required).
- Valid
Forklift Operator certification.
- A Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening acceptable to Gleaners Foodbank is required for this role.
