About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Revenue Accountant to join our finance team. This role is responsible for ensuring the accurate recognition of revenue under IFRS standards, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting financial reporting processes. The ideal candidate is analytical, organized, and driven to continuously improve accounting methodologies and practices.
Key Responsibilities

Review customer contracts and billings to ensure revenue is recognized in compliance with IFRS accounting standards, including non-standard terms and multiple-element arrangements.

Manage monthly revenue accounting processes, including billing requests and contract analysis.

Prepare monthly revenue recognition entries and ensure accurate deferred revenue drawdowns with up-to-date schedules.

Complete and reconcile revenue and deferred revenue accounts, following up promptly on outstanding items.

Maintain and update the company’s revenue recognition policy as business processes and standards evolve.

Develop, monitor, and enhance internal controls over financial reporting and revenue recognition methodologies.

Support complex accounting analyses and prepare technical accounting position papers for sales transactions.

Document, monitor, and implement financial processes while maintaining detailed desk procedures for all related tasks.

Identify and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Collaborate with the Controlling, Business, and IT teams to ensure system-driven processes align with accounting objectives.

Support external audit inquiries, providing clear walkthroughs and documentation of relevant processes.

Maintain performance metrics and KPIs to support informed decision-making regarding resources and priorities.

Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis to assist with business decisions, tax requirements, and financial presentations.

Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives within the Finance department.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA) required.

3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, including financial reporting, analysis, and reconciliations.

Demonstrated experience with IFRS standards and technical accounting concepts.

Previous experience in public accounting or an audit firm is preferred.

Strong working knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and applications.

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.

Ability to manage multiple priorities with a strong sense of urgency.

Proven initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivots, VLOOKUPs, and advanced formulas).

Experience with accounting software systems and strong computer literacy.
