This position is located in Pickering, ON

What you will be doing:

  • Initiates, coordinates, directs, and schedules site personnel to ensure project objectives are met.

  • Takes care of the scheduling and planning for the project.

  • Assist with the optimizations of mechanical and electrical design drawings.

  • Assist in preparation and negotiation of mechanical and electrical subcontracts.

  • Implements and manages the Bird Safety Program; performs regular hazard analysis and toolbox meetings.

  • Ensures sufficient manpower is provided to achieve safety, productivity, and quality objectives.

  • Prepares overall work plan and schedule in conjunction with Site Superintendent and Project Manager.

  • Reviews and provides assistance regarding the required quality assurance and control plan.

  • Monitors all site instructions and change notices and makes adjustments as required.

  • Assist with commissioning process, building turnover and closeout documentation.

What are we looking for:

  • 5–10 years of experience in industrial mechanical construction, ideally within the nuclear, power generation, or process industries.

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and how they integrate with construction elements. Experience with industrial and process mechanical, electrical and controls considered an asset.

  • Effectively provide overall supervision, coordination and scheduling of construction activities and consistently complete projects on time, on budget and to the client’s satisfaction.

  • Demonstrated competence in the areas of safety, workforce management, project execution, cost control, quality, and administration.

  • Experience in nuclear or high-regulated environments

  • A strong leader and problem-solver, you are able to build and steward trust with clients, subcontractors, and team members to effect competitive excellence and pride in teamwork with outstanding project delivery.

  • Gold Seal certification, LEED, BIM proficiency, or nuclear site-specific training (e.g., Radiation Protection, Nuclear Security clearance) are considered assets.

  • Willingness to travel or temporarily relocate for industrial projects within Ontario
