Canadian Helicopters is seeking a skilled and professional Base Pilot to support the operations of the Durham Regional Police. This is a unique and rewarding opportunity to contribute to public safety while operating in a dynamic aviation environment based at the Oshawa Executive Airport.
Key Responsibilities

Operate rotary-wing aircraft safely and efficiently in support of policing operations

Perform day and night flights consistent with mission requirements
-
Conduct pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight inspections
-
Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, company standards, and safety protocols
-
Maintain accurate flight reports and documentation
-
Collaborate closely with police personnel, aviation staff, and operational teams
Required Qualifications
-
Valid Canadian Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence (CPL-H)
-
Minimum 1,000 hours total rotary-wing flight time
-
Minimum 100 hours of night flight
-
Minimum 50 hours of night flight on helicopter or airplane
-
Canadian citizenship or legal right to work in Canada (this position is not eligible for sponsorship)

Ability to obtain security clearance and HIAA IRAC pass
-
Must pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing
-
No violations or insurance losses during the past 5 years
Assets (Preferred but Not Required)
-
BH06 endorsement with 100 hours in the last 12 months
-
H125 (AS350) endorsement with 100 hours in the last 12 months
-
250+ hours turbine aircraft experience
-
IFR Group 4
-
NVG (Night Vision Goggles) experience
-
French language skills
