Job Title: Rehabilitation Assistant (Temporary, Part-Time)
Location: High River General Hospital, Calgary Rural Rehabilitation Team
Schedule: 4.25 days per week

Come join the dynamic Calgary Rural Rehabilitation Team! This temporary part-time position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a patient-focused and collaborative healthcare environment. Based out of High River General Hospital, this role is dedicated to supporting rehabilitation programming and providing client-centered care to individuals recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.

You’ll work closely with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to help clients achieve their optimal level of independence and quality of life. If you are a compassionate team player who thrives in a fast-paced clinical setting, we want to hear from you.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the delivery of physiotherapy and occupational therapy programs under the supervision of licensed therapists.

  • Support patients through prescribed exercise programs, mobility training, and functional activities.

  • Prepare and maintain therapy equipment and treatment areas.

  • Document patient progress and report changes in condition to the therapy team.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care.

  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.


Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Rehabilitation Assistant or Therapy Assistant diploma program (Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant).

  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

  • One year or more of experience working in a rehabilitation, hospital, or community health setting is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Proficiency in electronic documentation systems is an asset.
