Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced supervisor to work on small to medium-sized residential projects, as well as any other tasks that may be require during the regular course of work. This position will involve:
Train or arrange for training
Supervise workers and projects, and co-ordinate and schedule activities
Set up equipment
Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies
Establish methods to meet work schedules
Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Read blueprints and drawings
Recruit and hire workers and carry out related staffing actions
Prepare production and other reports is an asset
Estimate costs and materials is an asset
The ideal candidate will have:
Over 5 years relevant work experience
Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
Occupational Health and Safety Certificate
Carpenter Trade Certification is an asset
Carpenter Red Seal Certificate is an asset
Fall Arrest Protection Training Course is an asset
Good interpersonal skills required to communicate with trades and clients
Own vehicle with valid driver’s licence
