Warehouse Manager

Responsibilities:
- Set daily goals/priorities and plan out all warehouse resources and activities in relation to company objectives and set targets.
- Organize all activities and assign tasks accordingly for employees.
- Coach, train and develop employees informally and
through formal training programs.
- Provide both informal and formal evaluation (written
evaluation)
- Manage and coordinate all employees in the warehouse
- Counsel and appropriately discipline employees who
do not meet company minimum standards on attendance, performance and/or
misconducts
- Develop, test and document warehouse procedures
- Implement continuous improvement strategies
- Ensure the security and integrity of the warehouse
- Determine all warehouse equipment requirements in
conjunction with the Regional Manager
- Responsible for the physical warehouse layout,
changes and improvements
- Supervising the accuracy and consistency of all
warehouse transactions
- Control the flow of physical products in and out of
the warehouse, including receiving, shipping, stock replenishment, damaged
goods and scrap.
- Supervise and assist in monthly/annual cycle counts
and follow-up on stock discrepancies as required.
- Coordinate repairs and periodic maintenance of all
equipment and the overall facility.
- Coordinate temporary work requirements
- Ensure that all company and government regulations
are followed in the warehouse, for issues such as safety equipment, smoking
policy, forklift operation, WHMIS, Workers Compensation and the Labor Board.
- Review of all invoices regarding warehouse transport.
