Key Responsibilities
- Prepare
and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing
slips, and labels.
- Schedule
and coordinate shipments with carriers, ensuring compliance with company
policies and customer requirements.
- Verify
and inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy in product type,
quantity, and condition.
- Maintain
accurate shipping and inventory records in the ERP or warehouse management
system.
- Assist
with receiving incoming materials, verifying quantities, and updating
records.
- Communicate
with production and warehouse teams to prioritize and prepare orders for
shipment.
- Monitor
and track shipments, addressing delays or issues with carriers as needed.
- Ensure
compliance with workplace safety standards and company policies.
- Support
continuous improvement initiatives in shipping processes.
Qualifications
- High
school diploma or equivalent (college diploma in logistics or supply chain
an asset).
- Minimum
2-4 years of experience in shipping/receiving or logistics (manufacturing
environment preferred).
- Familiarity
with foam products or manufacturing industry is an asset.
- Strong
computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems, shipping software).
- Knowledge
of shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
- Excellent
organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong
communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability
to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Forklift certification (preferred but not mandatory).
