Intermediate Municipal/ Transportation Engineer

Duties:
- Providing
engineering and technical expertise on multi-disciplinary projects
- Assisting
in project management, including budget tracking and client communication
- Participating
in studies, assessments, modeling, preliminary and detailed design
- Contributing
to reports, drawings, and other engineering documents
- Preparing
designs for municipal road reconstructions, water/sewer systems, site
grading, and stormwater management
- Assisting
in proposal and report preparation
- Communicating
with clients, consultants, and contractors under supervision
- Supporting
business development initiatives
- Collaborating
with project teams to meet deadlines and budgets
- Prepare
tender and contract documents, including specifications, quantities, and
construction estimates.
- Mentoring
junior engineers and technologists as needed
Qualifications:
- University
Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- 5-7
years of experience in municipal design engineering, with some consulting
experience preferred
- P.Eng.,
or eligibility for registration in Ontario
- Familiarity
with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling is an asset
- Ability
to develop positive relationships with staff and clients
- Experience
in meeting project timelines and budgets
- Good
technical writing and communication skills
- Ability
to work effectively in a team environment
- Some experience in municipal engineering projects and client interactions
