Key Responsibilities

  • Menu Development & Innovation

  • Conceptualize and develop new food and beverage offerings aligned with brand identity and customer trends.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify culinary trends and opportunities.

  • Lead tastings, presentations, and internal approvals for new dishes.

  • Recipe Development & Standardization

  • Create standardized recipes with detailed preparation methods and plating guides.

  • Develop clear, scalable recipes suitable for multi-location execution.

  • Costing & Profitability

  • Accurately calculate food costs for all new menu items, maintaining target margins.

  • Source and collaborate with vendors to ensure ingredient availability and cost-efficiency.

  • Operational Rollout & Training

  • Partner with the Operations and Training teams to roll out new menu items across all stores.

  • Conduct in-store training, kitchen trials, and quality assurance checks to ensure consistent execution.

  • Provide tools such as SOPs, portion control guides, and kitchen display materials.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing for product launches and promotional campaigns.

  • Liaise with procurement, logistics, and supply chain to streamline ingredient sourcing and distribution.

  • Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor the performance of new menu items post-launch, including guest feedback, sales data, and operational efficiency.

  • Iterate and optimize offerings based on data and insights.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a chef in high-volume, multi-unit hospitality, restaurant groups, or QSR environments.

  • Culinary degree or equivalent training.

  • Strong knowledge of food costing, kitchen operations, and supply chain logistics.

  • Passion for food trends, creativity in culinary innovation, and understanding of diverse cuisines.

  • Excellent communication and project management skills.

  • Proficient in recipe software, Excel, and basic kitchen management systems.
