Project Accountant

Salary: Neg Per Hour
As part of your role, responsibilities include:
Work closely with Project Managers to monitor and control all project related financial data for an assigned portfolio of projects
Review and enter vendor invoices
Work with Project Managers on finalizing invoices electronically and following up on accounts receivable
Proactively conduct project health checks
Provide customer service by resolving and revising issues with invoices
Involved in month-end closing activities (i.e., reconciliations, project entries, etc.)
Maintain electronic filing system for all financial documents
Handle backup payroll when Director – Finance & Corporate Services is absent
Administrative duties, as required/requested
To apply to this position, you should expect to have:
Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Finance
2-4 years of experience in a similar role
Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
Proficient within Excel, Word & Outlook
Ability to adapt to changing project requirements
Work experience with accounting software/ERP preferred
Work experience with payroll preferred
