Job Duties and Responsibilities
Experience with bookkeeping and accounting functions related to Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
Ability to prepare and maintain accounts receivable functions including bank deposits and reconciliation, reviewing, posting and reconciling journals entries
Process payroll
Experience with Accounting Software and Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Performs accounting duties such as bill paying, reviewing, setting up and maintaining expenditures and revenue working papers, spreadsheets and reconciliation to general ledger
Prepares the monthly financial analysis and reports for Partners and Accountants
Analyzes and reconciles account balances
Ensures internal controls are maintained in accordance with Accounting GAAP principles
General office administrative duties
Other duties as assigned by the Partners
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent work experience
5+ years’ experience in an accounting and administrative role
Versed in Canadian Tax law and regulations
Expert level experience with Quickbooks and Microsoft 365 is essential
Fast learner needing minimal training in accounting and administrative tasks
Effective communication, written and verbal
Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
