Post Office Assistant - Term

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to retail customers.

  • Process financial transactions, sales of postal products, and other services.

  • Maintain inventory and merchandising standards in accordance with corporate guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with safety, security, and operational policies and procedures.

  • Support the achievement of store sales goals through up-selling and customer engagement.

  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues in a professional manner.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proven customer service experience, preferably in a retail or service-oriented role.

  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written).

  • Ability to lift and handle mail containers and packages weighing up to 50 lbs.

  • Comfortable using point-of-sale systems and basic computer applications.

  • Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.


Assets:

  • Previous experience with Canada Post or similar retail logistics environment.

  • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset but not required.
