Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Dispatch Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will perform a variety of clerical and dispatch-related duties to support our operations and ensure the efficient scheduling and coordination of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, be proficient with MS Windows and MS Office, and remain calm under pressure, especially when responding to urgent or emergency situations.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine clerical duties including data entry, filing, and recordkeeping

Maintain detailed work records and logs, including operator schedules and vehicle usage

Co-ordinate, assign, and review work of vehicle operators and crews
-
Dispatch personnel in accordance with daily schedules and work orders
-
Respond promptly to urgent or emergency calls, providing coordination and assistance as needed
-
Provide technical guidance, resolve work-related issues, and recommend measures to enhance productivity and quality

Maintain vehicle operation records including mileage, fuel usage, repairs, and other related expenses

Schedule assignments and monitor progress to ensure timely and efficient service

Assist in improving workflow and service delivery through effective communication and problem-solving
Qualifications:

College diploma or equivalent education

Previous experience in a dispatch or coordination role is an asset but not required

Strong problem-solving and organizational skills

Ability to remain calm and make decisions under pressure

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks

Proficiency in MS Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Working Conditions:

Office environment with the potential for high-pressure situations

Must be available to respond to urgent calls, including during irregular hours if required

Sitting for extended periods, working with computers and telecommunication systems
