    But here\u2019s the problem: those same voices urging us to put \u201celbows up\u201d for Canada often ignore the most important action: hiring Canadians.<\/p>\n

    Recent reports revealed that Canadian IT workers at RBC were laid off and replaced by offshore hires, sparking national outrage. At the same time, the United Nations<\/a> described Canada\u2019s TFWP as a \u201cbreeding ground for slavery,\u201d citing risks of trafficking, wage theft, and exploitation.<\/p>\n
